Ty has a Bachelor's degree from Utah State University with a degree in Agricultural Education, as well as a Master's in Career and Technical Education. He is currently teaching Animal Science and Agriculture Systems at Tooele High School. He has been a member of Tooele Education Association for the past 4 years.
